“Transformations in Quechua Literature: Peru, 1900-1950” The first half of the 20th century can be considered a golden age for Quechua literature in Peru. Quechua was written more widely and for a broader range of purposes than it had been in the previous century. This talk will examine the social and cultural contexts of this boom and discuss the development of new forms of Quechua literature.
